The second match of the 2022 Asia Cup is scheduled for August 28 and will showcase India vs. Pakistan.

Although both teams will be focused on winning, the Pakistan Cricket Board has deployed a bowling coach from its national high-performance center in Lahore to assist the team’s chief bowling coach, Australian Shaun Tait.

Umar Rasheed departed on Wednesday to join the national squad at the advice of Pakistan’s head coach Saqlain Mushtaq. For the Asia Cup and the seven home T20 Internationals against England, Team Pakistan will be without their star spinner Shaheen Shah Afridi.

During the Test match last month against Sri Lanka, Afridi suffered a right knee ligament injury while fielding. and a six- to eight-week recuperation period has been prescribed. Hasnain, a 22-year-old fast bowler, was chosen by Pakistan’s selectors to replace Afridi. Hasnain, Haris Rauf, Mohammad Wasim junior, and Shahnawaz Dahani have played a combined 66 T20 international matches while Naseem Shah is yet to make his T20 debut, making Pakistan’s pace attack at the Asia Cup fairly inexperienced.
